MAD Lions is back with an intentional design inspired by Greece and Rome’s Classical Periods when marble statues rose to prominence. With a marble look, the jersey is intended to encourage players and fans alike to become the heroes of their own legend. To help promote the new jersey, MAD Lions created a video in collaboration with Madrid artists Delarue and Dukuly that features well-known Spanish sculptor, Juan Asensio. The video offers a fresh take on the classic story of Perseus and Medusa, while slowly uncovering the new jersey design.

“The 2022 season jersey is a tribute to the history we made last year, earning a spot in the 2021 League of Legends World Championship Quarterfinals and back-to-back League of Legends European Championship (LEC) wins. We want it to instill a sense of pride and meaning for players and fans,” said Álvaro Luzón, Senior Manager, Marketing (EU), OverActive Media. “Like the sculptures of great heroes and classical figures that carry with them stories about great deeds and people, we want those who wear the jersey to create their own legend.”

New this season, partner GLS will have branding placement on the MAD Lions Superliga jersey, joining previous partner Imagin, while the LEC jersey continues with the same logos from partners Kappa, EPOS, Team Razer and SEAT. The promotional video is live on MAD Lions’ YouTube and Twitter accounts and the new jersey is available for purchase on

“As we head into the 2022 season, we maintain our commitment to Madrid, our roots, and MAD Lions’ urban lifestyle brand. We aim to deliver another year to remember,” added Luzón.
